BIO
Julian Feder recently wrapped production on the WWI horror film, “Bunker,” and the thriller “Escape The Field” starring alongside Shane West, Theo Rossi and Jordan Claire Robbins.
He played opposite Ruby Rose and Jean Reno in last year’s action drama “Doorman.” That same year he shared the screen with David Strathairn and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the poignant drama “Walkaway Joe.”
In 2019, Julian starred in the indie feature “I Hate Kids”. Appearing alongside Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Tom Everett Scott (La La Land), he played the lead role of Mason, the surprise 13-year-old son of a life-long bachelor (Scott), who he finds with the help of a self-proclaimed psychic (Burgess).
Feder can also be seen in the critically acclaimed, award winning indie film “A Boy Called Po”, opposite Christopher Gorham. Inspired by a true story, the film follows Po, a gifted child with autism, who loses his mother to cancer and is unable to communicate his sense of loss to his father. “A Boy Called Po” debuted at the International Film Festival in Panama to multiple standing ovations, and since has garnered 11 awards. In addition, Feder won six awards for his performance in the film, including a Young Artists Award (Best Performance in a Feature Film), a Young Entertainer Award (Best Leading Young Actor in an Independent or Film Festival Feature), as well as a Rising Star Award at the WorldFest Houston. He also received Best Actor awards at the Festival International Du Film Sur Le Handicap, Autism Society of America’s Autfest, and the 2016 Albuquerque Film & Media Experience.
Born in Tokyo and raised in Singapore, Feder quickly found his love for acting appearing in short films, commercials, and music videos. Following a recurring role on “Serangoon Road” for HBO Asia, Feder went on to land his first leading role in the feature film “Wiener Dog Nationals,” and subsequently it’s sequel, “Wiener Dog Internationals.” Additional television and film credits include NBC’s “Community,” TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles,” and the award-winning short horror film, “Itsy Bitsy Spiders.”
Aside from acting, Feder loves to keep active by playing tennis, baseball, ultimate Frisbee and ping pong. He is also interested in history, art, and antiquities particularly Japanese Samurai armor. Feder is active within the autism community and has participated in multiple walks and fundraising efforts for various autism charities.
